It has been annouced by a leading think tank that the British economy is shrinking for the first time in more than a decade. The National Institute for Economic and Social Research said gross domestic product fell 0.2% between June and August following a drop of 0.1% in the three months to July.
This leaves Britian on the verge of the first recession since 1991 with bills and unemployment increasing and house prices falling.
