Despite women hiting promotion quicker than men they appear to have a higher resignation rate. In 2006 the percentage of women who moved jobs (or retired) stood at 8.4% compared to 6.4% for men. The female registration are highest in the retail sector, again despite fast career progression. The average team leader is 5 years younger than her male counterpart, and the female department heads tend to be 3 years younger.
