SAINSBURY’S are planning to create upwards of 500 temporary and full time jobs over the next year in the deli sections
The supermarket also announced it is launching six food colleges, in a bid to boost the skills of counter staff. The supermarket is to set aside 220sq m areas in stores where staff are taught skills such as merchandising, knife skills, customer service and café skills.
Sainsbury’s says up to 10,000 staff will go through college, including new recruits.
