It was once THE place to go to get the best jobs and jump onto the career ladder. London was seen as the city paved in gold and vast numbers of people would flock to London with no employment in an effort to find work.
Now the exact opposite is happening, many large multinationals are setting up across the country as costs in London soar and the competition for a skilled workforce means that organisations can not find enough good staff. These staff are also getting over paid in the competitive market.
People want to have a better work life balance too and hence organisations that are locating offices and sites in the regions are being rewarded with excellent, highly committed staff who are no longer interested in the chaos of the London market.
