Santander, the ever growing high street bank is to place greater emphasis on individual branch managers to hire their own staff directly.
The bank is thought to be planning to hire an additional 600 new staff to its branch network. This is thought to be an initiative to lead to more successful hires seeing that branch managers will then have greater responsibility for those new employees.
