Always thought that you had news or information that the world needs to read? I have recently discovered a tool which enables you to create a Facebook application and is currently being offered by Dapper.

It takes about 30 mins to create an account which allows facebook users to select a feed from your site (rss, xml etc.) and then with a lot of fiddling you’ve created your own web app but please do read the instructions available from their flash demos!

Because you can create custom RSS feeds from anywhere, you can create custom facebook apps that do any number of things, you can even ’scrape’ web content from pages that do not offer RSS feeds.

In short you are not just writing content for a limited few - you can create a bespoke news service.

Fuel bills are hitting businesses harder than households. A recent report has indicated that industrial fuel costs have risen by 28% in real terms whilst domestic costs have risen by 11%.

Are your temps and part time workers covered by your public and employers liability insurance?

Every private individual and organisation can incur liabilities if others suffer loss through their careless or negligent acts, defects in their property or goods supplied to them.

Various liability policies have been devised to provide financial protection to meet the costs of defending claims and damages that may become payable.

Public liability covers the liability of the insured at law to members of the public for injuries suffered or property damaged.

Low self esteem and an ability to read or write properly is a situation many of those drawing benefit in the UK are experiencing. You might also be shocked to learn that in the UK 1 in 6 adults has a reading ability below the level set for 11 year olds!

There are also 5 million adults with no qualifications, of which half are unemployed. 60% of pupils leaving school during the past 10 years (3.9 million) have done so with less than 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above, of which 1 million don’t even have 5 GCSE’s at all!

Are we failing to educate Britains poorest, are we fueling a society based on spiralling worthlessness as a natural state?

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has finally shared it’s thoughts on the continued debate over regulations that the government is threatening to introduce. They have called on the government to halt the introduction of more regulations that could impact on the recruitment industry in a number of ways. The threat comes from European directives on agency workers. An REC spokesman has suggested that the directives must be implemented in a way that has minimal effect on the currently successful temporary and contract recruitment market.
