November saw an improvement in the labour market in Scotland with an increase in the number of placements of both temporary employees and permanent employees from the month previous.
This is great news for Scotland where both the temporary job market and the permanent job market have experienced more suffering than any other in the UK.
On top of this increased job availability, salaries for permanent staff have been increasing too.
M&S need to hire 20,000 temporary staff for the Christmas season - they are seeking “friendly, motivated and enthusiastic” temporary employees in their UK and Ireland stores.
20,000 extra Marks & Spencer Christmas jobs as the store hopes to to cope with the festive rush (last year saw 29 million people visit its stores in the week before Xmas).
There are opportunities for customer assistants, M&S Cafe assistants and warehouse workers, with all recruits going through a two-day induction training session.
Applicants must be able to work at least 16 hours a week and may need to work in the evenings as well as weekends and Bank Holidays over the Christmas and New Year period.

Disneyland Paris is recruiting UK staff for Christmas and next year’s summer seasons.
A team from Disneyland Paris will be looking to recruit people for opportunities in guest services, sales, attractions and food & beverage.
