Liverpool gets trendy

Natasha Hamilton from Atomic Kitten (if you remember them) and her fiancé Riad Erraji launched Hamilton’s, a new coffee shop and delicatessen in Liverpool’s fashionable Metquarter last month. This café / bar is the first outlet the couple have opened and the launch did coincide with the opening of their nightclub ‘H’.

The coffee shop and deli is open at 9.30am and offers breakfast, afternoon tea and light meals. This couple are certainly doing their bit to offer part time and temporary contracts in Liverpool, this latest addition to the Metquarter is in good company being placed near Café Rouge and Costa to name but a few of its neighbours.

The Paradise Street Project - Liverpool

The £920 milllon rebuilding of the Paradise Street area has been going on since 2004 and should be completed late next year. It is the largest scheme in Europe and will have over 1.6 million square feet of new shopping space.

The 42.5 acre site will contain over 30 individually designed buildings. The largest of these will be a 240,000 sq ft John Lewis department store, the chain’s largest in the North West. Also on the site there will be Debenhams, two hotels, a gallery, new bus station, new public park, cinema and 3,000 parking spaces. This will create over 4,400 jobs, many of them being temporary, shift based or part-time. It will bring a huge amount of employment to the area - all part of the generic development that is being seen across Liverpool.
