After a successful first two months of trading, six new stores are now open for business at the Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe.

Crystal art retailer, Swarovski opened at the end of April, Japanese sushi bar, Yo! Sushi recently opened a restaurant, and contemporary Italian restaurant, Zizzi unveiled a new shopfitting.

Global underwear brand, Triumph and greetings card giant, Clinton’s Cards are also set to open at the beginning of June. German costume jewellery retailer, Bijou Brigitte, continues its expansion in the UK.

Wonderbra, Past Times and Jeff Banks are opening at the Galleria Hatfield. Other new arrivals include Nike, DSL selling Diesel, Calvin Klein Underwear, Gant and Le Creuset.

Jobs in Hatfield are soon going to be a plenty following on from a £100m proposal to redevelop Hatfield town centre. The scheme includes retail spaces, restaurants and general eateries, a new town centre bus stop facility, a new Primary Care Trust facility and 275 new homes.

If the scheme is approved (March 08) there will literally be hundreds of new jobs in Hatfield, we’ll keep you posted.

The oldest McDonalds worker in the country has retired at the age of 83, Bill Fossey retired after 6 years of working at McDonalds, he worked as a maintenance man three mornings a week. Hertford will miss their much loved pensioner….
