The overall demand for staff continued to increase during February which means that the current period of growth has now reached five continual months. Generally speaking the volume of jobs available has seen it’s greatest speed of increase in 30 months. Both volumes in demand for temporary and contract staff as well as permanent staff were seen.
Totnes Jobcentre in Totnes in Devon are hosting a job fair on March 10, from 10am to 4pm, for the Dartmouth Apprentice restaurant which is currently looking for apprentices to train for up to eight months in front-of-house positions.
The Dartmouth Apprentice is an “apprentice restaurant” run by charity Training For Life, which aims to give diners great meals while helping young people get their careers in hospitality back on track.
The charity also runs the Hoxton Apprentice in London and opens a third, the Barking Apprentice, this spring.

A new entertainment complex in Skegness will create at least 50 jobs.
In Skegness, Lincolnshire the four-storey building will include an ice rink, bars, cafes and even a erotic gentlemen’s club.
East Lindsey District Council has approved the project which will cost £7 million pounds. The jobs will be created by summer 2011. Many other contracting jobs will be available to the construction businesses involved in the project. The business responsible for the project is as yet unknown.
250 jobs are to be created in North Wales. The temporary jobs are created as part of the Future Jobs Fund. The fund has already supported 9,000 new six month contract jobs.
The Future Jobs Fund aims to create jobs for the long term unemployed and brings really positive news to north wales which has been hit hard recently by numerous job losses.
Nissan has had such great success with the production of its Qashqai model that it is has been able to announce the increased production at its production plant in the north of England.
The 2010 Qashqai has had such unexpected success that Nissan has been able to re-instate three shifts at their Sunderland plant creating 400 jobs and retaining 160 workers on fixed contracts.
