The continued success and globalisation of Asian industry has brought or even maintained employment across the UK. It is estimated that Indian businesses have created some 19,000 new jobs in Britain over the last year. This figure does not include the 14,000 jobs that were saved at Jaguar and Land Rover when the Indian engineering firm Tata Motors acquired them.
Prince Charles is taking his Duchy Originals brand to America and India in an effort to promote organic foods globally and aid farming communities across the world. The organic food market is growing at a rate of 20% year and Duchy aims to achieve a rate of 30% a year. It will result in annual turnover quadrupling to £200m.
Most people only think about working in ski resorts at the beginning of a ski season usually around November or December. Tour operators always need to staff as the season progresses. Invariably people drop out and so ski chalet staff, ski guides, chalet chefs, nannies and even kitchen porters are constantly needed. If you fancied a month of skiing now it is still a viable option….
