The Indian law firm FoxMandal Little is the first of its kind to launch in London. FoxMandal Little is India’s largest firm based on the number of lawyers that they employee. FoxMandal Little’s London office will start small and it is estimated that the City team will grow steadily to six or seven lawyers in a year’s time.
In a week when joint research by advisory firm KPMG and the CIPD announced that it expected two out of five employers to make redundancies in the first quarter of 2008 we ask whether there is a “safe” sector in recession.
Typically the legal sector has been this safe bet. The sector is not completely unaffected but the profession is also required to work particularly hard during these tougher times resulting in levels of recruitment remaining fairly consistent.
