Computer geeks to the rescue..

No teenager in the vicinity? If your computer crashes you’re probably going to be in trouble. Unless you turn to home help services that it, these self styled computer geeks / experts will visit your home and fix almost any technical problem, for a charge!

Currently according to Geek Squad the two biggest problems are computer viruses and wireless routers, cost are typically £25 to setup a wireless network remotely, home visits start from £70 with a no fix, no fee offer.

So if you’re good with computers and fancy a computing job could this be for you?

Bye bye keyboards…..

According to Bill Gates the Microsoft Boss, the keyboard and the mouse are now defunct and will make way for more intuitive interaction technologies. Looking forward he predicts that touch, speach and vision interfaces will become more common, sounds like an Apple iphone to me, another great idea missed!!

Amazon Kindle, the ideal travel companion?

amazon kindleKeen reader, travel alot or are you simply a gadget fan, apparently the Amazon Kindle could be the ideal gadget for you!

Amazon integrated a 3G cellular radio into the Kindle, basically allowing the Kindle to be online without having to pay for a wireless network or a mobile phone contract. You can browse their Kindle store and download your reading material. Notably, no service charges or contracts are involved, Amazon covers all of that in the background.

So who will the Kindle appeal to? People that are probably already reading digital book and basically daily commuters who are fighting newspapers while getting their hands filthy.

Who will stay away from the Kindle, people that want to read takeoff, landing, when you can’t use electronic devices. Readers that read a good book on the toilet or in the tub even at the beach, in fact people that want t read when it’s sunny oh and people without a spare £200….

Below is a video review of the Amazon Kindle, make you’re own mind up… but I doubt many of our temps will be using them!

Living the internet dream….

Thinking of starting your own internet business? Make sure you have the right motives in mind before you do, if you’re thinking about coming up with the next big idea then think again
one in a million makes it big, the rest sink. So is there any point? Yes of course there is, but do it for reason that you genuinely love what you’re doing and you’re not betting the future of your family on making £1 million in the first year.

Below is a video I came across on YouTube recently which takes a tongue in cheek look at the internet boom of old and comparing this to our current state of affairs!!

Best thing to do is to develop as a part time job until you receive significant revenue or investment so that you can concentrate on your idea full time, good luck!!!
