Apparently almost half of all PAs do not feel comfortable asking their boss for a pay rise.
A survey by one of our advertised recruiters, Crone Corkill, showed that 43% felt uncomfortable at approaching their boss for a pay hike, while 31% of respondents said that they would sometimes be willing to approach their boss regarding the issue, dependant on his or her workload and stress levels. Around a fifth said that they do not need to ask because they are often rewarded for their hard work.
There are increasingly attractive jobs and career opportunities in insurance for graduates.
Previously investment banks have taken the best graduates but with the current economic climate banks are cutting back on recruitment.
Actuaries and underwriters are always in demand and there are plenty of opportunities for loss adjusters, brokers, administrative staff, project managers, IT and audit personnel and business analysts.
