Average salaries fall fast!

Recent analysis of online job adverts shows that the average salary advertised online has fallen by almost £9,500 in one month. The salary survey by AllTheTopBananas.com found that the average salary had fallen from £41,397 in October compared to to £31,969 in September.

In London the fall is not quite as dramatic. The average advertised salary is now £38,504, a fall of almost £3,000 from £41,397 last month.

Think outside of the box….

Cringe… do you think giving someone the ‘heads up’ whilst ‘touching base’ about the ‘blue sky thinking’ session where you lined up all your ‘ducks in a row’ and ’sung from the same hymn sheet’ is likely to impress your new boss?

Strangely people believe that using business phrases like that have a positive impact on their career, NO, NO, NO stop waffling and get to the point. I actually used to work with a man who tried to use all of these phrases in the same breath, people in the office used to bet on number of times he would use one, unfortunately on an average call it usually come in at 4, what must the person on the other end think!!
