A frustrated workforce

A survey has revealed that one in five workers in the UK are annoyed with their current job. Hay Group carried out a study of over one million workers and found that 20 per cent were frustrated at work.

The reasons for annoyance among employees included poor management handling, ineffective structures and the lack of productive working environments. It was also found that 40 per cent felt that line managers created a negative environment.

Retail jobs created in Cardiff

Thousands of retail jobs will be created next year when the shopping centre project St David’s 2 opens in Cardiff. About 4,000 jobs both part-time and full-time will be avaliable.

The centre will have numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and bars as well as a library. It will also be home to Wale’s first John Lewis department store.

The developers of the scheme are working with the council to arrange free courses to provide training.
