The European Commission has given the go ahead for a £270 million investment programme in Worcestershire and across the region as part of a five-year programme to boost new business in the area. It is expected that the investment will help the region create more than 10,000 new jobs and support 22,000 businesses.
The investment programme, facilitated by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), will focus on reducing unemployment and increasing the productivity of the West Midlands’ business base while ensuring sustainable economic growth.
