New research has suggested that work experience is vital to gaining jobs in most graduate careers. A recent study by Milkround.com questioned almost 200 individuals who had taken part in work experience before applying for graduate jobs.
Over 50% said work experience was vital, while some 21% said that paid or unpaid work experience was the only way into their chosen industry. And about 39% said they wouldn’t be able to get a job without some form of prior experience.
It is so important whilst studying to try and gain some form of work experince whether it be part-time or temporary, so once you have graduated you have some relevant experince on you CV to land that dream job.
