Tesco is creating around 450 jobs over the next month with the opening of 15 new branches of Tesco Express across the UK.

New stores that are opening across the UK include Olympia, West London, Portsmouth, Hants, Cardiff; Southport, Lancs, Walthamstow, East London; Greenwich, South London and Glasgow. Each store will need a raft of employees including management staff and shelf stackers and checkout staff, working during the day with customers and shelf-stacking at night. So if you’re in the market for a part time role day or night then Tesco’s could your answer.

Jobs in Emerging Markets

As the Developed world becomes more and more saturated with businesses vying for the same customers, large numbers of the worlds leading organisations are concentrating on developing their strong holds on the emerging markets of the world. Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America are prime examples of where companies are investing heavily. This often means that businesses are starting in these locations from scratch and as such Interim project managers are required to set these greenfield sites up. Vast numbers of interim/temporary specialists are being recruited (as long as they have the international work experience) to manage and implement some really interesting ventures. It would seem that working abroad could open up all manner of opportunity for the savvy job hunter.

Celtic Manor Resort Jobs

Celtic Manor Resort, a five-star, 330-room hotel and golf resort in the Usk Valley in Wales, is creating over 40 new jobs by opening a second clubhouse alongside its three championship courses and golf academy.

The building, to be completed in the autumn, will create a wide variety of jobs, from catering and service personnel to retail and security. New recruits will be able to share in sporting history when the Ryder Cup comes to the resort in 2010.

The resort, which employs 500 people and also includes a convention centre, two spas/health clubs and four restaurants, needs staff in other areas, too. Check back here soon for the all the latest jobs in Wales.

New Jobs and Web Profiling

The development of the technical age has led to am array of methods for recruitment companies and firms direct. Whether people are hiring permanent or temporary staff many businesses are doing their own research on individuals before they commit to hiring them. The latest fads including Facebook, YouTube and MySpace allow prospective employers to “dig the dirt” of potential temporary or permanent employees.
What some businesses haven’t realised is that this tool also works for potential employees because they can find the people that they are going to interview for a job with and be wholley put off by what they find. Many people are suggesting that these social networking sites and are thorn in the side of the recruitment market and the sooner that they are ditched the better.
